Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem

Encompassing both Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks, the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem is world-renown for its biodiversity in North American mammalian megafauna. From grizzly bears to bison, wolves to moose, there is no better place to experience these large animals in a breathtaking rocky mountain landscape. For many species, they have historically found a stronghold within the Yellowstone caldera, making a home amongst incredible geologic features and over 50% of the world’s geysers. Despite its volcanic characteristics, Yellowstone National Park stands as a testament to wildlife conservation and the importance of the National Park service.
